A successful remake of Tamil Movie Kushi, set new boundaries of a telugu movie’s box office capacity. Director surya’s original screenplay was effectively modified to suit pawan kalyan’s image and his mannerisms, costumes etc. became an instant hit with the youth. Kushi starts off with the birth of two kids, both at different places, but at same time.

The narrator explains us how Time, an important factor, unites them in future. Siddarth Roy(kalyan) popularly known as Siddu, grows up in Kolkata, meets and accident before leaving the country and is forced to join a college in hyderabad.
Madhumita(Bhumika) is forced into an arranged marriage, which doesn’t happen due to bridegroom’s love affair, and she too joins the same college.
Babu(Sivaji), who is a friend of siddu loves Santhi, a friend of Madhumita, and seeks siddu’s help to reach her. Siddu discovers that santhi’s father is a bigshot, Gudumba Satti(Rajan.P.Dev) in the city, but manages to unite babu and shanti through Madhu.
After few misunderstandings, siddu and madhu too get along with each other. When everything looks fine, the story takes a turn, when madhu catches siddu vouyering at her navel, and they both split on this trivial issue. Neither of them give up their ego, but still both strive to unite babu and santhi. Despite facing many obstacles from santhi’s father, gudumba satti, siddu manages to perform babu and santhi’s marriage. He even manages to to convince gudumba satti about their love.
Babu and santhi are united, but what happens to Siddu and Madhu is much more interesting. They both try hard to meet each other, before leaving their college, but remain unsuccessful. However they manage to leave letters for each other, in which they express their love towards each other. The story moves 10 years forward and we are shown siddu and madhu trying to cope up with a house, full of kids.
Director Surya manages to portray the ego quarrel between the lead characters very well. He even makes special appearances in two important scenes. Music by Mani Sarma is impressive and catchy.
But the entire movie looks like kalyan’s One Man Show. He alone carries this movie right till the end. The fights composed by him, leave their mark. His timing in comedy, and placement of few comedy scenes is excellent. Bhumika gets a good break with this movie. Mumtaj plays a vamp kinda role in the second half, which is mainly used to irritate bhmuika. Ali and sudhakar manage to evoke some response with their comedy
